Dorothy Cornelius

Dorothy Lene Cornelius, 85, passed away February 21, 2009 in a Mineral Wells nursing home. She was born June 7, 1923 in Caddo the daughter of Joyce W. and Ethel May Greenhaw Trevathan. She graduated from Mineral Wells ISD, was the caretaker of Oran Cemetery and lived there for over 50 years, and was a member of the Graford Church of Christ. She married Rufus Cornelius on August 29, 1940 and he preceded her in death on August 23, 2006. Services were 2 PM Monday, February 23, 2009 at the Graford Church of Christ with William Eudy officiating. Burial followed in Oran Cemetery. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law: Kay and Leslie Mills of Oran, grandchildren and spouses: Shirley McEwen of Azle, Melinda Mills of Boat Club, Mary Mills of Oran, Lori and Steven Hayes of Brownwood, Alice and Frank Cantwell of Fort Worth, 8 great-grandchildren, and brother: J. W. Trevathan Jr. of Dallas. She was also preceded in death by her daughter: Linda Crass on June 2, 2006.
