Doris Yvonne Copeland

Doris Yvonne Copeland was born on 06 Apr. 1929 at Authon in Parker County, Texas the youngest child of J. D. Copeland and Fannie Irene (Helms) Copeland. At a young age she fell in love with one of her brother's friends, Guy Edward Blaylock who went off to fight in World War II. She wrote to him often and when he returned home after the war, they were married on 16 Oct. 1945 in Parker County, Texas.Yvonne passed away on 09 Jan 2017 and was preceded in death by her parents, all her siblings, her husband, one baby daughter, Peggy Lou Blaylock and her youngest son, Donald Franklin Blaylock. Graveside services will be 10 AM Wednesday, January 11, 2017 at Greenwood Cemetery in Parker County, Texas.She is survived by sons; James and Sue Blaylock, Charles and Sheri Blaylock, Floyd and Melissa Blaylock and Donald's former wife Geneva (Stroud) Putnam. She is also survived by her loving daughter, Dorothy (Blaylock) and Dale Ashlock and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.Yvonne as she was fondly known, loved the many dogs that shared her life to which she rained much affection upon and that was returned to her in abundance. She even had the image of one of them engraved on the face of her tombstone.Yvonne was a very loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother and pet owner. She will be missed by all who knew her!
