Dora Mae Roeber White, 88, of Mineral Wells, Texas, died Monday, May 16, 2011. Services are scheduled for Thursday, May 19, at 10:00 AM, at First United Methodist Church in Mineral Wells, Texas. Burial will be in Stamford Highland Memorial Cemetery, in Stamford, Texas at 3 PM following the service. Visitation is Wednesday evening, May 18, 6-8 PM at the funeral home. Dora White was born September 10, 1922, in Stamford, Texas, to the late Paul and Selma Roeber. She married Ned White on February 27, 1941, in Stamford, Texas. He precedes her in death. She worked for the Snyder Public School system until retiring and moving to Mineral Wells. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Mineral Wells, a member of the Retired Teachers Association, and a member of the PPGH Auxiliary. Survivors include daughters Diane Kauffmann and husband, Larry, of Mineral Wells, Texas; Joann Vaughan and husband, Larry, of Granbury, Texas; grandsons Gary Chipps and wife, Jennifer, and Gerald Chipps and wife, Tina, of Mineral Wells, Texas; granddaughter Jaclyn Whitney and husband, Jason, of Clifton, Texas; great-grandchildren Joshua Chipps stationed in Afghanistan; Garrison, Jennaca, and Miranda Chipps of Mineral Wells, Texas; McKenzie and Jolie Whitney, of Clifton, Texas; four step- grandchildren, 22 step-great grandchildren, and 7 step-great-great grandchildren; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by sisters, Meta Moritz, Elsie Hinze, and Linda Muehlstein, all of Stamford, Texas. Dora's family wishes to express their appreciation for the staff at Lakewell House that cared for and loved Mom for the last seven months, the aids of IntegraCare that helped Mom with her daily needs, especially Mo and Lori, who were always there when we needed them. And to June and Laura of One-to-One Staffing who was with Mom during her last hours with us and answered our "so many" questions. We truly appreciate all that you did for us and our Mother.
