Dora Evalyn Tabb

Evalyn was 88 years old and lived in Baton Rouge, LA. Evalyn was born on June 17, 1925 in Ft. Worth, TX. She died on June 8, 2014. Her parents were Charles and Lula Eason from Alvord, TX. Evalyn was married to Morris Tabb from Mt. Pleasant, TX. She attended Decatur Baptist College, North Texas University and Tarleton State University where she received her Masters of Education. Evalyn taught elementary school for over 30 years in the Odessa, Albany, Electra, Perrin and Mineral Wells ISD's. She enjoyed singing old Southern Gospel songs, sewing, cooking and gardening. Evalyn was a member of the Order of Eastern Stars, TCTA (Texas Classroom Teacher Association) Board of Directors and First Baptist Church of Mineral Wells. She is survived by two daughters-Glenice and Cappi Jane Rusnak, four grandchildren-Wess McDonald, Ted McDonald, Seth Rusnak and Joshua Rusnak, three great grandchildren-Shara McDonald, Jenna McDonald and Brayden McDonald. Predeceased by her husband Morris Tabb and son Jim Tabb, her parents and two brothers Alvis (Easy) Eason and Charles (Pinky) Eason. The memorial service will be held on Monday, June 16 at 10:00 a.m. at Baum, Carlock and Bumgardner.
