Donald Lee Jones

Donald Lee Jones left this earth to be with his Heavenly Father on November 14, 2023. Don was born April 4, 1945 in Mineral Wells, Texas. He was a long time resident of Santo, Texas. Don was preceded in death by his parents, Wesley and Dorothy Jones; brothers, Jerry and Lloyd Jones; and sister, Anita Jones.

Don is survived by his wife of 54 years, Shirley Marshall Jones; his daughters, Tammy McKennon (Scott) and Misty Jones; grandchildren, Kele Jones (Morgan), Cole McKennon, Autumn McKennon, Anderson McKennon, and Jayce Gilbreath; great-grandchildren, Brixton Bryant, Maddyx Jones, Kinzleigh Jones, and Kreedon Jones; sister, Melanie Brownrigg (Rob); sister-in-law, Sharon Barnes; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Anyone that knew Don, knew his larger-than-life personality. He was outgoing, opinionated, and his laughter was contagious. His family was his life. He will be greatly missed.

The family would like to extend their gratitude to Solaris Hospice and Santa Fe Nursing and Rehab for their care of our father in his last days.

A visitation will be held on Friday, November 17, 2023 from 6-8 p.m. at Baum-Carlock-Bumgardner Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at the Lone Camp Baptist Church Saturday, November 18, 2023 at 2 p.m. Interment will follow at Old Gordon Cemetery.
