Donald Glidewell

Donald Gene Glidewell, 69, passed away January 18, 2016 in Weatherford after a lengthy illness. He was born February 16, 1946 in Mineral Wells the son of Bill and Modene Moore Glidewell. He married Carole Brown on June 23, 1977 in Mineral Wells. He was a lifetime resident of Mineral Wells. He owned and operated Glidewell's Pawn Shop from 1990-2010. He was a veteran of the US Navy having served in Vietnam. He was a former member of the Palo Pinto County Sheriff's Posse. Services will be 2 PM Thursday, January 21, 2016 at Fairview Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Woodland Park Cemetery. Visitation is Wednesday from 6-8 PM at the funeral home. He is survived by his wife: Carole Glidewell, son and daughter-in-law: Wes and Brandy Glidewell, grandchildren: Cooper and Emma Glidewell all of Mineral Wells, brother: Billy Glidewell of Hico, and numerous extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother: Charles Glidewell, sister: Bobbie Jo Cobb, and infant sister: Debora Suzann Glidewell.
