Donald Morris Baum, 82, of Mineral Wells, passed away Sunday, April 18, 2010 in Mineral Wells. Funeral services will be 11 AM Tuesday at the Central United Methodist Church with Rev. Barry Holmes officiating. Burial will be in the Woodland Park Cemetery with Brian Meaders, Carl Lowery, Cody Glover, Marcus Meaders, Mike Cornelius and Todd Sain serving as pallbearers and Justin Meaders serving as the honorary pallbearer. Donald was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was born September 1, 1926 in Cross Plains, Texas, the son of Drew Bethel and Louella Irene Bell Baum. He moved to Mineral Wells in the early 1930's. He proudly served his country in the United States Army in World War II with the 96th Infantry division in Okinawa, Japan and was a civilian supply officer in Vietnam. He married Madge W. Daniel, August 15, 1959 in Mineral Wells and she preceded him in death August 5, 2009. He was a lifelong member of the Central United Methodist Church, a long time rancher and proud Texas Aggie. Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Spencer and Melissa Baum of Weatherford; daughters and sons-in-law, Donnice and Homer Reeves, Donna Cornelius, Donita Glover and Donna Gottfried all of Mineral Wells and Marsha and Allan Campbell of Lindale; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife and a brother, Jon Allen Baum.
