Dolores L. Bridges, 89, passed away March 8, 2016 in Fort Worth. Service is 2pm Friday, March 11, 2016 at First Baptist Church of Possum Kingdom. Burial will follow in McAdams Cemetery. Visitation is 6-8pm Thursday, March 10 at Baum-Carlock-Bumgardner Funeral Home, Mineral Wells. She was born February 2, 1927 in Fortune Bend; the daughter of Henry and Minnie Hill Snoddy. She graduated from Graford High School in 1945. She married Vernon Bridges on October 18, 1946 and from this union a son and two daughters were born; Butch Bridges and wife Maryalin of Chico, Melinda Williams and late husband Carl of Mineral Wells, and Dee Dee Keese and husband Robert of San Antonio. At a young age, her and her mother accepted Christ and was baptized together at the First Baptist Church in Mineral Wells. She and Vernon joined the First Baptist Church of Possum Kingdom in 1991. She sometimes, but not always appreciated Vernon's wondering soul, but she followed every step. They started their journeys together at a small apartment in Mineral Wells; shortly moving to 105 Scudder St. in Graford. During their 49 years and 24 moves they settled back at 105 Scudder St. in 1991 making a full circle. Her life was not just that of a wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother; but as a seamstress for the public and Haggar Slack Manufacturer for almost 20 years. She is survived by Butch, Melinda, Dee Dee; 4 grandchildren: Shawna and husband Cole Hargrove, Rusty Bridges and wife Amy, Carlajo Williams, and K'Anna and husband Robert Keese; 8 great-grandchildren and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband: Vernon; parents: Henry and Minnie; sister: Thelma Caudell; brother: John Snoddy; and son-in-law: Carl Williams. Acting pall bearers will be: Rusty Bridges, Dustin Hargrove, Tanner Hargrove, Cole Hargrove, Ernie Lowe, and Tommy Nicklas. Honorary pall bearers will be: Shawna Hargrove, Carlajo Williamsl, K'Anna Walker, Rob Keese, Amy Bridges, Hank Brooks, and John Matherly.
