Dick Hal Davis passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 21, 2017 after a brave battle with cancer. Dick was born on November 24, 1944 at the Katy Hospital in Denison, Texas. He served in the United States Navy from 1964 to 1970. He worked most of his adult life as a commercial brick mason. He pursued and enjoyed the work because he could always look back at the structures and buildings created by his hand. In his 72 years of life his family and friends can attest to his love of life and adventure. He enjoyed scuba diving, water skiing and woodworking.Dick is survived by his loving wife Lanelle of 49 years, his two sons, Don (Nika) Davis and Mark (Shonna) Davis, two grandchildren, Lexi (Phillip) Plymale and Nik (Kelsey) Davis, one great granddaughter, Isadore Plymale, one sister, Lou Scanlon and partner Ivan Ewers, one sister-in-law, Bettye Shanaberger , one brother in law, John (Connie) Oden and several nieces and nephews. He lived his life to the very fullest and was sweet and brave until the end.The memorial service will be held on Sunday, January 29th at 3:00 PM at the Graford Church of Christ located at 7091 State Highway 254, Graford TX 76449. A time of reflection and refreshments will immediately follow the memorial service. In lieu of flowers, please make a memorial donation to a charity of your choice.
