Derroll Eugene Ross

Derroll Eugene Ross, 75, passed away June 16, 2016 at his home in Mineral Wells. He was born March 7, 1941 in Gorman the son of Louis Mansell and Laura Elsie Pittman Ross. He married Joyce Hayes on January 13, 1964 in Palo Pinto County. He has lived in Mineral Wells since 1964. He was a member of the Green Creek Baptist Church in Dublin. He was a member of the DAV and AMVET. He was a past Order of the Arrow, and an Assistant Scout Master for the Boy Scouts. He served in the National Guard for 37 years, and while in the National Guard he served with Plus Up backing up the Texas Border Patrol for 2 years. He worked for Southwestern Bell, CCA, Tarrant County Sherriff's Department, and the Parker County Sherriff's Department. He was a member of the Mineral Wells Jaycees, and the GPAA. Services will be 11 AM Tuesday, June 21, 2016 at Green Creek Baptist Church in Dublin. Burial will follow in Upper Green Creek Cemetery. Visitation is Monday from 6-8 PM at the funeral home. He is survived by his wife: Joyce Ross of Mineral Wells, children: Melanie Ann Ross of Stephenville, Kimberly Lenora Ross Jackson and husband Jim of Dublin, Monty Eugene Ross and wife Regina of Mineral Wells, Kevin Lee Ross of Dublin, grandson: Casey Ross of Cisco, and numerous extended family.
