Denise Lillian Tighe

Denise Lillian Tighe was born on January 24th, 1926 in Geneva, Switzerland. She passed away on January 20th, 2014 at Santa Fe Nursing Care Facility in Weatherford, Texas.Denise moved to the United States in the 1950's with a doctor from New York City whom she married .She lived in Manhattan, New York for many years, a city she professed to love. Denise was manager of a French bank on Wall Street in New York in the 1950's. Denise was a smart, classy woman who enjoyed five star restaurants.Denise came to Mineral Wells, Texas in the 1980's, where she spent the last twenty five years of her life. Ms. Tighe was an animal lover. She selflessly donated thousands of dollars to the SPCA over the years. She especially loved cats of which she had many over the years .There was hardly a stray,homeless cat she failed to help.Services will be 10 AM, Monday, January 27, 2014 in the Baum-Carlock-Bumgardner Chapel. Burial will follow in Woodland Park Cemetery. Visitation is Sunday from 6-8 PM at the funeral home.Denise was preceded in death by her former husband. She was also preceded in death by her parents who resided in Switzerland. Denise is survived by her sister, Susanne Foley of Mineral Wells Texas, and many friends and relatives who loved her. Denise is also survived by Bobby the cat, who now resides at Dr. Flint Immel's veterinarian office in Mineral Wells, Texas. Denise will always remain in the hearts and minds of her many friends, and relatives in Switzerland wholoved her. She will never, ever be forgotten.
