On June 20, 2018, Delores "Pee Wee" June Ayers, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She was born March 24, 1944, to Loyd and Linnie Bolton, and was a life-long resident of Mineral Wells.In 1968, she married Leonard Ayers and together they raised four children. She worked for many years as a nurse before retiring due to deteriorating health. She enjoyed working with the Mineral Wells High School Fifty-Year Club and volunteering at her church, but nothing brought her more joy than singing. She spent many years singing country music with local musicians and in her later years she used her voice to sing praises to God.She is survived by her husband, Leonard, daughters, Anita Brian, Genia Glover and husband Bob, sons William Ayers, David Ayers and wife Stephanie, grandchildren, Bailey Cole, Katie Drake, Mandy Rhodes, Victor Ball, Brad Ball, Gidget Addison, Samantha Schreiber, Stephanie Goldsmith, Andy Ayers, and Ellen Ayers, twelve great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, and three sisters.While she will be greatly missed by her loved ones, we are assured that she is at rest with God.Services will be 2 PM Monday, June 25, 2018 at the Palo Pinto County Cowboy Church. Burial will follow in Woodland Park Cemetery. Visitation is Sunday from 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
