Delma "Del" Eugene Davis

Remembering the life of Delma “Del” Eugene Davis. Del passed away September 15th, 2021. Graveside services will be at Whitt Cemetery Saturday, October 2nd at 2:00PM. Pastor Jerrel Tomlin will officiate followed by Masonic Graveside Service.

Del was born August 15, 1936, in Whitt, Texas to Mildred Brents Smith and Eugene Wesley Davis. He was working on a pipeline when he met and married his life’s love, Lorraine Sheets Davis. They raised 6 children together and forged a life of dedication to their family. Del was an electrician and worked diligently to provide for his family.

He was a 32nd degree Mason being a member and Past Master of both the Mineral Wells #611 and Whitt #624 AF&AM Lodges. He was Past DDGM of both the 113th and 89 Masonic Districts and Area Instructor and Education Officer as well as member of the Ft. Worth Valley Scottish Rite Order.

Del was preceded in death by his wife Lorraine Davis, father Eugene Davis, mother Mildred Smith, son Roy Dean Davis, brothers Roy Davis and Joe Smith, and sisters Earlene Howard and Juanita Edmonds.

He is survived by his sons, Gary Davis and wife Liz, Steve Davis and wife Karen, Doug Davis and wife Marlene, Raymond Davis, and wife Jane; daughter Millie Davis Singleton; brother Jack Smith; sisters Bobbye Getawn Whitt and Regena Merrifield; 17grandchildren; 33 great grandchildren and 2 great great-grandchildren.
