Dayman Cleo Whittenburg (Arkie), 77, passed away April 15, 2011 in a Fort Worth hospital. He was born August 13, 1933 in La Rue, Arkansas the son of John Elgin and Mary Myrtle Garner Whittenburg. He married his first wife Mary Ruth Hunt in 1973. He married his second wife Lola Mae Davis on June 19, 1974. He was a member of 11th Avenue Church. He worked at the old state park (NW Lions Park), the Baker Hotel, Can-Tex for 32 years, and US Brick. He was a member of several local clay unions over the years. Graveside services will be 2:30 PM Tuesday, April 19, 2011 at Woodland Park Cemetery with Pastor Paul Harris. He is survived by his children and spouses: Jerry and Brenda Whitenburg of Mineral Wells, Joe and Vonda Whitenburg of Mineral Wells, Dayman (D.C.) and Pearl Whittenburg of Mineral Wells, Roy and Mitiz Whittenburg of York, Pennsylvania, 5 grandchildren of Mineral Wells, 2 grandchildren of York, Pennsylvania, 8 great-grandchildren of Mineral Wells, sisters: Helma Dobbs and Lillie Boshears both of Arkansas, half sisters: Helen Sharp and Opal Smith both of Arkansas, half brother: David Whittenburg of Arkansas, and sister-in-law: Bea Whittenburg of Gainville, Florida. He was preceded in death by his parents, step-mother: Estaleen Whittenburg, sister: Evelyn Whittenburg, brothers: Roy, Ray, Dee, Delbert, and Howard Whittenburg, wife: Lola Mae Davis, and I grandchild.
