David Lee Tolbert, 81, passed away April 17, 2019 at his home in Mineral Wells. He was born January 14, 1938 in Mineral Wells the son of Herman Lee and Edith Laverne Edwards Tolbert. He was a member of the Parker County American Legion, was a Mason, and was a member of the Countryside Baptist Church. He was a veteran of the US Army. He retired from the Palo Pinto County Sheriff's Office in 2006. Services will be 2 p.m., Friday, April 26 at Countryside Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Woodland Park Cemetery. Visitation is 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law: Pamela and Gary Davis, grandchildren: Gary Wayne Davis Jr., Laura Anne McInnis, George Lee Davis, and Melissa Jo Coates and husband Allen, great-grandchildren: Kaydince, Cheyenne "Faye", Cheyenne "Coco", Tuff, and Edith; lifelong friend and mother of their daughter, Pamela: Billye (Bryant) Tolbert-Westin. He was preceded in death by his parents, and sister: Nancy Jo Tolbert.
