Darrell Hugh Jones

Darrell Hugh Jones, 72, passed away April 6, 2013 in a Mineral Wells nursing home. He was born October 13, 1940 in Littlefield the son of Norman Hugh and Levi Mae Meyers Jones. He graduated from Mineral Wells High School in 1958. He graduated from Weatherford College in 1960, served in the US Army, and graduated from North Texas with a Master's Degree in 1967. Taught biology for 5 years, worked at Texas Instruments for 18 years, and was Candle Light Manager for 8 years. He loved sports, reading, and his family. He married Linda Potts in 1966 and they were married for 36 years, then moved back to Mineral Wells and married Glenda Tuggle Grimes in 2002. Graveside services will be 2 PM Tuesday, April 9, 2013 at Stags Prairie Cemetery. He is survived by his wife: Glenda, sister: Gail Beard, brother and sister-in-law: Norman Dwayne and Beverly, niece: Valerie Beard, step-son: Cullen Grimes, Jr. and wife Rada, several grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, step-daughter: Linda Grimes Cox, and his first wife Linda.
