Daren Zay Maxwell 45, of Mineral Wells, went into the hands of the Lord on March 22, 2014. He was born in Mineral Well, the son of J.T and Neva (Duncan) Maxwell. At one season of the year Darren's vocabulary was limited to a few words "Hook e'm Horns" he was a loyal Texas Longhorns fan; this loyalty was shown in his attire, vehicle; he made every effort to watch a game if it was on TV. Another past time Daren enjoyed was to sit down to watch his favorite TV show with his mother. Daren enjoyed his quite time reading the bible; he was taught Christianity at a young age and it held strong in his heart; he loved the Lord. Daren is survived by parents: J.T and Neva Maxwell; children: Zayley, Josie, Rowdee, Cooper and Canyon Maxwell; step-daughter: Chrisha Patton; fiancé: Susan Clark; brothers: Clifton and wife Nancy Maxwell, Kevin and wife Nancy Maxwell; grandchildren: Ashton and Raelynn; aunt Maxine Horian; along with numerous nieces: Misti Maxwell, Nicole Oldham, Mandy Mansell and Whitney Elias: nephews: Johnathon, Stephen and Joshua Wheaton, and friends; special prayer warrior Glenda Turner. Daren was preceded in death by brother: Delton Maxwell; grandparents: Henry and wife Lorene Maxwell and Clifford and wife Marie Duncan; nephew: Cody Maxwell. Visitation is set for Wednesday March 26, 2014 from 6-8PM at the funeral home. A celebration of life graveside service will be held at Perrin Memorial Cemetery with Ted Oliver and Mike Stover officiating at 2PM on Thursday March 27, 2014. Pallbearers will be Johnathon Wheaton, Stephen Wheaton, Joshua Wheaton, Heath Maxwell, Charles Maxwell and Justin Carr.
