Danny Franklin Smith

Danny Franklin Smith, 73, passed away May 31, 2010 in a Mineral Wells nursing home. He was born May 31, 1937 in Stanford the son of Walter and Georgia Newman Smith. He was a longtime resident of Graford. He retired from the Palo Pinto County Sherriff's Department as a Deputy. He was a member of the Church of God in Mineral Wells, and was a veteran of the US Marines. He married Mabel Moore on November 19, 1977 in Graford. Services will be 10 AM Friday, June 4, 2010 in the Baum-Carlock-Bumgardner Chapel with Rev. Tom Moore Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Graford Cemetery. He is survived by his wife: Mabel Smith of Graford, sons: Eric Smith of San Diego, California, Walter Brazil of Granbury, Daniel Brazil of Graford, daughters: Lydia Crumpley of Bryson, Terri Branch of Mineral Wells, Kristie Wenninger of Graford, 3 grandsons, 3 granddaughters, and sisters: Midge Bounds of Fort Worth, and Patsy Guynes of Albuquerque, New Mexico. He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 brother, and 1 sister.
