Daniel J. Slattery, 46, passed away July 8, 2018 at his home in Mansfield. He was born March 31, 1972 in Buffalo, New York the son of James E. and Ellen Beyea Slattery. He had lived most of his life in Mansfield and Mineral Wells. He was a loving father, son, husband, uncle, and brother and his life was cut short passing much too young. He was a true friend to all of his many friends and will be missed greatly by them all. He was always successful. He was a very good athlete playing football and baseball. He made the Who's Who list in high school. He was on the student council. He graduated from Weatherford College and Tarleton State University. He got a law degree from SMU. He worked his way through school in the banking business and wound up staying in the banking business instead of practicing law. He worked for the Stephens Corporation one of the largest banking companies in the US and was recently recognized as salesman of the year. The Rosary will be 6 PM Sunday at the funeral home. Mass will be 10:30 AM Monday, July 16, 2018 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Woodland Park Cemetery. He is survived by his son: Sam Slattery, father: James E. Slattery, sisters: Maureen Harrison and husband Jeff, Ellen Edwards, Kathleen Seekings, and Susan Slattery, brother: James Slattery Jr., and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother: Ellen Slattery, brother: John Slattery, and nephew: Beau Pate.
