Daniel R. Sisemore

Daniel Roy Sisemore, 86, passed away on December 11, 2024, at his home in Mineral Wells, Texas. He was born on February 8, 1938, to Ernest and Kathryn Owens Sisemore in Mineral Wells.

Daniel retired from the US Navy after 20 years. While in the Navy, he met and married Nora Lu Knapp, also serving in the Navy. Once Daniel retired from the Navy he worked for Fabian Distributing then at the Mineral Wells Airport as a flight line technician, where he retired. He was a member of the American Legion Post 75 and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2399. He loved playing poker, dominoes, and his scratch offs.

Daniel is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Nora Lu; and by his sisters, Ernestine Turner and Patricia Sisemore.

Daniel is survived by his children, Kathryn Sisemore, Thomas Sisemore, and his “other” daughter Marlene Mc Cool; grandchildren, Sarah Baker (Dallas) and Christopher Abbott (Christina Hollingsworth); and by his great-grandchildren, Allie and Brailey Baker and Aeden Abbott; nieces Landra White (Sandy Almon) and Paula Brown; and special cousins, Doug and Darrell Owens; and numerous friends. He is also survived by his furbabies who brought him great joy and comfort, Beezer, Tinker Bell, and Tiger.

Visitation will be from 2:00 to 4:00 pm on Sunday December 15, 2024, in the funeral home chapel. The funeral service will be at 10:00 am Monday, December 16, 2024, in the Chapel at Baum Carlock Bumgardner Funeral Home, 302 West Hubbard, Mineral Wells, Texas. Burial will follow at Staggs Prairie Cemetery.
