Dale Wilburn Young

Dale Wilburn Young, 62, of Mineral Wells, suddenly passed on February 22, 2025. Dale was born in Kentucky before living in El Paso. After graduating high school, he studied to be a welder at TSTC Waco. He completed his training, then worked as a welder at PECO for many years before becoming a radiographer there. He eventually started his own business and found further success. Dale was well known and liked in the community. He was a Deacon in his church, a leader at jobs, a friend to many, and a booster to the community.

He coached youth baseball and football and volunteered additional time as a referee for youth sports, contributing to the development of the young participants.

In his later role as the manager of PECO Federal Credit Union, he continued to assist numerous individuals and positively influence many lives. He was known for his generosity and compassion, never treating anyone as a stranger and readily assisting those in need. Many regarded him as a role model, considering him reliable and a trusted confidant for those seeking support and understanding.

 Dale was a dedicated servant of the Lord. He never missed church no matter what ailed him. He attended and even hosted many bible study groups. He always spoke to others about Christ and encouraged their spiritual growth. 

He is preceded in death by his mother, Sue Young, and his brother Steve Young. He is survived by his Wife Patty, his 2 Sons Jimmy Brian and Robert Brian, his father Dudley Young, 11 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. He will be dearly missed by loved ones and throughout the community.

Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Wednesday at Baum-Carlock-Bumgardner Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 10 a.m., Thursday, February 27, 2025 at Calvary Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Woodland Park Cemetery.

Dale Loved Jesus with all his heart and we know he walks with him now.
