Criselda Inay Ibe of Mineral Wells, Texas entered into eternity on December 28, 2020 at 7:41 A.M.
Criselda, known as Cris to her numerous friends was born in Sinait, Ilocos Sur, Philippines on August 14, 1941. She was the second child of Sebastian and Catalina Inay and moved to Mineral Wells with her family in September of 1996. She worked at Santa Fe Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Center and at Palo Pinto Nursing and Rehabilitation for several years until she retired.
Before moving to Mineral Wells, Criselda served as the matriarch of the family home. She took care of her younger siblings and helped her husband in the family farming business. She was hardworking and dedicated her life to her family and love for Jesus Christ. She was instrumental in building a local church and continued to support that ministry until her death.
Her love for her children, family, and friends was unconditional. She was generous to all and enjoyed sharing her freshly grown vegetables with family and friends. Gardening with her husband was one of her favorite past times and her flowers were often the envy of the neighborhood. Criselda was an avid cook and on occasion competed and won many prizes. Her sweet sincere smile melted anyone’s heart and she never met a stranger. She always looked for the good in people.
She was a devoted Christian and quoted the bible often. She believed that “those who trust in him shall understand the truth and the faithful shall abide with him in love. Because grace and mercy are with his holy ones and his care is with his elect” -Wisdom 3:9.
Criselda is survived by her husband Elpidio of 52 years, daughters Editha (Rogelio) Tapat, Marivel (Johnny) Ramiscal of Honolulu, Hawaii, sons Ronald (Alona) Ibe of the Philippines, Bernard (Joy) Ibe of California, and Rogel (Abigail) Ibe of Mineral Wells.
