Christine Elisabeth Shirley

Christine "Christa" Elisabeth Shirley 76 of Mineral Wells, Texas passed away on Thursday, November 7, 2019 at Palo Pinto General Hospital due to Alzheimer's disease.Christine was born on March 18, 1943 in Trimberg, Germany to Anton and Maria Schnabel. She studied at the Volk Schule in Trimberg, Germany. She was a seamstress and worked for many years at Mineral Wells Manufacturing and Boon Industry. Her hobbies included singing, dancing, sewing and gardening. She had a heart for Jesus, her family, and loved spending time with them both.She is survived by her children: Matt and Misty Schnabel, Thomas Schnabel both of Mineral Wells, TX, Mike and Anna Schnabel of Jacksonville, FL, James and Teresa Shirley of Granbury, TX, Alex and Meredith Shirley of Mineral Wells, TX and Jackie Shirley of Fort Worth, TX; grandchildren, Crystal Schnabel of Abilene, TX, Clayton and Amanda Burleson of Abilene, TX, Austin and Jennifer Ward of Jacksonville, FL, Krysten Schnabel of Jacksonville, FL, Talida Schnabel of Fort Worth, TX, and Makenzie and Brittany Schnabel of Mineral Wells, TX; she is also survived by sisters: Gerda Schmidt, sister-in-law Uschi Schnabel, Hans and Resi Priestoph of Germany and Ingrid Crawford of Mineral Wells, TX; and numerous great-grandchildren.Predecessors by her parents Anton and Maria Schnabel, siblings Manfred Schnabel, Elli Bessemer, Ernst Paff and Bruno Paff.A memorial service will be held 11 a.m., Saturday, November 16, 2019 at Gospel Light Baptist Church, 601 Country Club Parkway, Mineral Wells, TX 76067.
