Charlotte Denise Upton

Charlotte Denise Maples - Upton gained her wings and entered into Heaven on October 6, 2023 surrounded by her loved ones. She was 55. 

She was born on January 10, 1968 in Mineral Wells, Texas to Patrick and Mary Maples. 

She spent 22 years in Alaska where she worked as a paraprofessional for 17 years. She loved working with kids. They loved, "Mrs. Charlotte."  She had unconditional love for everyone that crossed her path. 

She returned to Texas in December 2021 to be closer to her family and friends.  She married her high-school sweetheart, Sidney Upton on February 14, 2023. 

She is survived by:

Mother and step-dad-  Mary & Kenneth Pendergraft

Brother and sister in law,- Todd & Stacey Maples 

Step brothers- Michael, Aaron, and James Pendergraft

Daughter and son- Brittany & Bradley Maples 

Step children- Sharissa & Michael Lockard, Shannon & Radley Starkey, David & Hannah Jackson, Whitney Jackson 

Grandkids- Tucker, Case, Riggs, Brynley, Kendra, Qualyn, Kylee, Rainey, Gracie, David, Greyson, Connor, and Brady 

She was preceded in death by her dad, Patrick Maples, paternal grandparents Irene and O'Dell Maples, and maternal grandmother Avalee Riemer. 

Charlotte will be greatly missed, but her beautiful smile and contagious laugh will always be remembered.

Visitation is 2-4 PM Saturday in the Chapel.

Memorial services will be 10 AM Monday at Freedom Fellowship Church.
