Charlie Sims

Charlie Sims, 79, passed from this life on May 13, 2023. Charlie was born February 2, 1944, in Livingston, Texas to Cecil and Mary Sims. Charlie proudly served in the United States Navy as radar operator. He worked in many roles, such as an electronic technician, supervisor, city building official, general contractor, and wild land firefighter. He enjoyed working with his hands and was a creative problem solver. He was an avid fisherman, that rarely had a bad day on the water.
Charlie is survived by his beloved wife, Melaine Sims of Santo, TX; 4 children, Wesley Sims (Wife Shanna) of Lone Camp, TX, Cody Carter (Wife Karla) of San Antonio, TX, Kelly Sparks of Bastrop, TX, and Celeste McCauley (Husband Doug) of Lone Camp; 12 grandchildren, Cortney Meagan, Casey, Jonathan, Garrett, Michael, Cheyenne, Tucker, Carter, Noah, Brooklyn, Jaycee, Jaclynn; 12 great grandchildren and many loving friends. 
A memorial service will be held at 10:30 am, May 20, 2023, at Palo Pinto Cowboy Church, 2731 S FM 129, Santo, Texas 76086.
