Charles Ray Thomas

Charles Ray Thomas, 86, passed away June 2, 2012 at his home in Whitney. He was born June 20, 1925 in Old Glory the son of Jackson Bernard and Mary Elmore Carr Thomas. He married Ann Sherburne on September 4, 1944 in Crosbyton. He had lived in Whitney for the past two years and in Odessa prior to that. He was a Christian. He was a veteran of the US Marines having served in WWII. He taught at Permian High School in Odessa for 30 years. Graveside services will be 10 AM Tuesday, June 5, 2012 t Poe Prairie Cemetery. He is survived by his wife: Ann Thomas of Whitney, sons and daughters-in-law: Charles Jackson and Sandy Thomas of Austin, Murray Ray and Brenda Thomas of Brownwood, daughter and son-in-law: Mary Ann and Wayne Ostic of Clifton, grandchildren: Lara, Nathan, Chrissy, Sharon, Julia, Alaina, John, Daniel, and Leah, great-grandchildren: Zoe, Baylie, Penny, Amelia, and one on the way, and sister and brother-in-law: Faye and Tony Wileke of Odessa. He was preceded in death by his parents.
