Charles Smith

Charles L. Smith, 72, passed away December 9, 2009 in an Arlington hospital. He was born March 13, 1937 in Mineral Wells the son of Charles Elery and Minnie Irene Reynolds Smith. He married Gayle Ann Parker on June 1, 1956 at Holders Chapel United Methodist Church. He had lived in Arlington since 1958 and was a member of Harmony Baptist church of Arlington. He was a veteran of the US Army National Guard. Services will be 10 AM Tuesday, December 15, 2009 at Holders Chapel United Methodist Church with Rev. Brian Grey and Rev. David Montoya officiating. Burial will follow in Holders Chapel Cemetery. Visitation is Monday from 6-8 PM at the funeral home. He is survived by his sons and daughter-in-law: Charles L. Smith Jr. of Arlington, Jeff and Jean Smith of Baraboo, Wisconsin, grandson: Jacob Benjamin Smith of Madison, Wisconsin, granddaughter: Brianna Nicole Smith of Baraboo, Wisconsin, great-granddaughter: Abigayle Mae Ziech-Smith of Baraboo, Wisconsin, sisters: Gaynell Holland of Mineral Wells, Bobbie Dickinson of North Richland Hills, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife on January 31, 2009, son: Daniel Lynn Smith on September 28, 2007, and his parents.
