Charles Wayne Myrick, age 69, of Mineral Wells, passed away Sunday, July 4, 2010 at his home. Memorial funeral services will be 10 AM Thursday at the Baum-Carlock-Bumgardner Chapel with Pastor Foy Layton officiating. The honorary pallbearers will be Donald Myrick, Larry Myrick, Freddie Myrick, Lewis Arwine, Raymond Martin, Randy Martin, Chuck Buzbee and Jim Wolverton. Visitation will be 6-8 PM Wednesday. Charlie was born on July 29, 1940 in Parker, Texas the son of Fred and Kate Younger Myrick, He was a veteran of the United States Air Force and a Methodist. He was an electrical specialist for Lockheed-Martin, a member of Mineral Wells American Legion Post 75 and a 32 Mason and a member of the Hurst Masonic Lodge. He married Sandra Martin on August 7, 1965 in Mineral Wells. Survivors include his wife, Sandy Myrick of Mineral Wells; son and daughter-in-law, Clint and Angie Myrick of Graford; grandchildren, Emily and Evan Myrick; mother, Kate Myrick of Hurst; brothers, Donald Myrick and wife Dorothy of Fountain Valley, CA, Larry Myrick of Memphis, TN, and Freddie Myrick of Theodore, AL; brother-in-law, Lewis Arwine of Hurst; sister-in-law, Paige Myrick of Memphis, TN; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Fred Myrick and a sister, Katie Arwine. The family requests that donations be made to the Palo Pinto County United Way.
