Charles Franklin Mayes

Charles Franklin Mayes born October 20, 1946 to Ernest Charles and Eva Mae Glanton Mayes passed from this life on Tuesday, November 5, 2019. Charles Mayes served our country in the United States Army during Vietnam where he was awarded the Purple Heart. He also served in the Texas Army National Guard. Charles was a lifetime member of the VFW; he was Post officer of the VFW Post 2399.Charles was preceded in death by his parents and sister Barbara Lewis.Survivors include his children, Raymond L. Mayes and Candee Brossman of Buffalo, OK, Julie A Ritchson and Eddie Wreath of Mutual, OK, Clint A. Mayes and Kimmie Wolff of Mineral Wells, TX; grandchildren, Rusty Ritchson and wife Rachel, Delaynie Mayes, Mackanzie Mayes, Rylie Mayes; and many of family and friends.Graveside services are 2 p.m., Saturday, November 9, 2019 at Old Gordon Cemetery.
