Carol Jade (Song) von Atzigen passed away Monday, December 30, 2024, at the age of 72. Known in her family simply as "Nana," she will be missed tremendously in the days to come.
Carol was born to Warren Ng Song and Mildred (Pederson) Song on July 4, 1952. She loved being a "fourth of July" baby and hosting fireworks in her yard every year for her birthday.
Carol worked in the medical field most of her life. She spent the last fifty years in the Perrin and Mineral Wells communities in Texas and will be missed by many coworkers and friends from the area.
Carol had a creative soul, pursuing many hobbies and interests throughout her life. She particularly excelled at pouring her love for her family into creating memorable meals. She was fearless in the kitchen and loved to cook with family members by her side.
Carol's family and friends will remember her as a Nana who loved fiercely, could dish out quite a bit of sass with a smile on her face, and was always willing to go to great lengths to make sure her people knew she loved them.
She is survived by her husband, Hans, son Christian and wife Brandy, son Eric and wife Mindy, and son Kevin and wife Rachel. She also leaves behind nine grandchildren and great-grandchildren, two sisters, and many nieces and nephews who were dear to her.
The family will hold a private celebration of Carol’s life. In lieu of a public service, those wishing to honor her memory are encouraged to make a donation in her name to the hospice organization that provided her with such compassionate care in her final days, Beyond Faith Hospice https://forms.gle/4uZCe1dsqdNAtURu6
