Carol Jefferson

Carol Ann Jefferson, 63, of Mineral Wells, passed away Friday, April 9, 2010 in a Mineral Wells hospital. Funeral services will be 11 AM Saturday, April 17, 2010 at Mt. Hermon First Baptist Church with Pastor Mae Smith officiating and Rev. Mark Washington providing the eulogy. Burial will be in the Woodland Park Cemetery and the pallbearers will be Roosevelt Smith, Thomas Gilbert, Joe Pool, Lonnie Washington, Carl Turner and Jimmy Anders. Mrs. Jefferson was born January 5, 1947 in Mineral Wells, the daughter of Frank and Ruby Werts Anders and lived in Mineral Wells all her life and graduated from Mineral Wells High School. She worked at Southern Airways as long as they were here. She married Robert Jefferson November 8, 1969 in Mineral Wells and was a faithful member of Mt. Olive AME Church. Survivors include her husband, Robert Jefferson of Mineral Wells; daughter and son-in-law, Angela and Neal Johnson of Mineral Wells; son, Earl Jefferson of Mineral Wells; five grandsons, Elijiah Jefferson, Isaiah Johnson, Jordan Johnson, Kerry Johnson, Jr. and Lorenzo Johnson; brother, Levon Anders and friend Lucy of Mineral Wells; sister, Ruby Greer and husband Matt of Mineral Wells; ten nieces and nephews, Opal Johnson and husband, Steve, Bruce Anders, Nathaniel Anders and wife, Allison, Levester Anders, Jr. and wife, Sarah, Sharon Anders, Danita Anders, Ardina Washington and husband Mark, Matt Greet, Jr. and fiancé Melinda, Julio Alexis Mendez, Jessica Rodgers and fiancé Gerald; one niece-in-law, Mary Anders; one godson, Jonathan Leyton; many great nieces and great nephews, cousins and other loved ones.. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Ruby, brothers, Rochester and Levester, and oldest nephew, Clevon Anders.
