Carlie Bernice Pitts

Carlie Bernice Pitts 85 of Mineral Wells passed away on August 10, 2011; she was born January 20, 1926 in Munday, TX. the daughter of John and Lillie Elliot Lemley. On September 5, 1945 she married J.D. Pitts. She was a 60 year member of Calvary Baptist Church. Survivors are son David and wife Cindy of Mineral Wells; daughter Dawne of San Diego, CA.; sister Ola Pitts of Fort Worth; 2 grandsons, 1 great granddaughter, 2 step-grandchildren, 14 step-great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and her beloved church family. She was preceded in death by parents, 14 brothers and sisters, husband J.D Pitts and a son Doug. A visitation is scheduled for Sunday August 14, 2011 from 6-8PM at the funeral home, and the service is Monday August 15, 2011 at Calvary Baptist Church at 10AM, burial will follow at Woodland Park Cemetery. The family asks in lieu of flowers that donations be made out to Bernice Pitts Bereavement fund at Calvary Baptist Church.
