Carl L. Williams, 68, passed away December 21, 2014 in Mineral Wells. He was born August 2, 1946 in Loraine the son of Leonard and Veta Ingram Williams. He graduated Loraine High School in 1964 and also attended Sul Ross University in Alpine. He served six years in the Army National Guard and was discharged in 1971. He married Melinda Bridges on October 12, 1974 at First Baptist Church in Chico, and from this union a daughter was born, Carlajo Williams, in August of 1985. He began his career in the Oil and Gas Industry in February of 1975 for City Service Oil Company in Guymon, Oklahoma as a Pumper. In 1980 he advanced to Production Supervisor for Duncan Oil Properties in Norman, Oklahoma until his retirement in October of 2007. Shortly after his retirement the decision was made to move to Mineral Wells where he considered home until his death in 2014. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Possum Kingdom. Services will be 11 AM Wednesday, December 24, 2014 at First Baptist Church of Possum Kingdom. Burial will follow in McAdams Cemetery. Visitation is Tuesday from 6-8 PM at the funeral home. He is survived by his wife: Melinda Williams of Mineral Wells, daughter: Carlajo Williams of Mineral Wells, cousin: Bob Furlow of Mineral Wells, brother: Tommy Williams of Big Spring, sister and brother-in-law: Peggy and Ed James of Odessa, brother-in-law and sister-in-law: Butch and Maryalin Bridges of Chico, sister-in-law and brother-in-law: Dee Dee and Robert Keese of San Antonio, mother-in-law: Dolores Bridges of Graford, numerous nieces, nephews and other family. Also long-time friends: Bill and Patricia Elliott of Conchas, New Mexico. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother: Don Williams, and sister-in-law: Peggy Sue Williams.
