Camilla Mary LeBoeuf Hethcoat, aged 96 (and proud of it) died peacefully, surrounded by her family on April 6, 2015. She goes to her eternal home to be received by her Lord and to join her beloved husband, Charlie. She was born in Houma, La on 18 Feb 1919, to Eva and Leo LeBoeuf. She had 4 brothers, Will, Luba, Cyril, Mark, and 1 sister, Mygreet. She and her family moved to Mineral Wells when she was two years of age because her Daddy had asthma and needed the treatment of Mineral Wells' healing waters and dry climate. She has lived on or near the same property for 94 years.Camilla married J Elroy Monroe and together they had two children, Robert and Debra. Later after a divorce, she married Major Charles Luke Hethcoat Jr. of Sulpher Springs. Together they had many adventures via motorcycle and RV.In the 1940's, Camilla owned a nightclub in Lafayette where big bands would stop and play on their way to New Orleans. She owned a few downtown businesses in Mineral Wells: a curios shop, a hobby shop a boarding house and a few rental properties. She and Charlie also owned and operated Bluebonnet Mobile Park on Welcome Mountain during the 1960's. The prolific bluebonnets on the corner of her property were introduced by Camilla's mother, Eva and were a town favorite for photo taking. She and Charlie also were Tom's Peanuts vendors in Mineral Wells for a season of time until her only granddaughter, Michelle, moved in with them. Camilla was Michelle's MeMe and was a big influence in Michelle's life. Most people, who were lucky enough to spend time with Camilla, knew her as a sweet, generous person - always willing to help. Camilla will be remembered as that funny little Cajun lady who did things in her own special way. She always had a big smile and would say "moi l'aime toi beaucoup" meaning, "I love you very much." Her loved ones will cherish the memories. Her family thanks Dr. Boya and all the medical/nursing staff at Integra Home Health, Integra Hospice and Palo Pinto hospital that made her life possible throughout the years. We are also very appreciative for all the friends in Mineral Wells and Weatherford that were a big part of her pleasure in life. She is survived by her sister Mygreet Ingram, son Robert Monroe and wife Mille, her daughter Debra Aulenbacher and ex-husband Richard, her granddaughter Michelle Friend and husband James, great grandsons Autry and Charlie Friend and a bunch of crazy cajuns. She was preceded in death by her husband, Major Charles Luke Hethcoat Jr.Visitation will be 11:30am on Friday April 10, 2015; funeral service following at 1pm; burial will be at Woodland Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers/donations, Camilla and the family requests for you to do good and be happy.
