Brian Lee Weir (1962-2024)
After a life richly lived, Brian Weir, cherished husband, father, son, and dear friend, went to be with his precious Lord and Savior on July 31st, 2024, in Mineral Wells, Texas.
He was born in Oklahoma City, OK, in 1962 to Ed and Ann Weir and shortly after moved to Mineral Wells, where he attended Mineral Wells High School. He later received his A&P license under the supervision of his father and began a rich career doing what he loved.
Brian is preceded in death by his grandparents Pauline Weir, Wilbur Weir, Roy and Iona Lindley, and his Uncle Kelly Lindley. He is survived by his beloved wife of 24 years, Neilee Weir of Mineral Wells, daughter Danielle, and husband, Weston Hollifield of Mineral Wells, parents Ed and Ann Weir of Mineral Wells, brother Steven Weir of Rockwall, sister Amie Weir of San Antonio, and numerous aunts, uncles, nephews, and cousins.
The funeral services are scheduled for Monday, August 5th, 2024, at 10:00 am at Indian Creek Baptist Church (104 Indian Creek Rd, Mineral Wells), with graveside to follow at Indian Creek Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Brian’s memory to be made to the Chula Chasers of Fort Worth or carry on his tradition of finding people at your favorite restaurant to spontaneously purchase their meal (with dessert) for them as he was a friend to all and loved to make everyone around him have a smile as big as his heart was.
Known for his signature mustache, big personality, and ability to make you laugh until you cried, he will be most remembered for his willingness to drop everything if you needed him and his cooking skills. He loved the Lord and had strong faith and beliefs that he was always willing to share. Although he is gone from this earth, his family knows that his sense of humor, honest nature, and love for family, friends, and others will continue to be a beacon of light and hope that will forever guide them.
