A celebration of Brenda’s life will be held 10 a.m., Thursday, June 4 at Baum-Carlock-Bumgardner Funeral Home in Mineral Wells.
She married her husband, Ralph McClendon, in 1976 in Amarillo, Texas.
Her family is comforted in knowing that she cherished her relationship with Christ. Brenda spent much of her life serving Christ through ministry by singing gospel music at local churches. She was an avid crafter. Brenda enjoyed quilting, sewing, and crocheting most. She adored all her friends and family. However, her grandchildren captured her heart.
Survivors include her mother Ladonna Barnett; husband Ralph McClendon; son Eddie R. McClendon and his wife Lori; daughter Veronica Holder and her husband Chuck; son Malcolm McClendon and his wife Mila; five granddaughters Bethany Holder, Whitney Holder, Haley Holder, Carley Holder and Nataley Holder; sister Debra Davis and her husband Roger; and brother, Karl Barnett and his wife Lorri.
Brenda was preceded in death by her grandparents Charlie and Birdie Barnett and Malcolm and Modene Horton; father Raymond Barnett; and sister Ramona Frost.
In lieu of flowers, the perfect way to pay tribute to Brenda’s life would be to discretely answer the call of a still small voice alerting you of an opportunity to make a positive impact in the life of another person. This is how Brenda tried to live her life.
