Brenda Lou Abbott Galbreth

Brenda Lou Abbott Galbreth passed away early Saturday morning August 11, 2012. She was 70 years old. She was a devoted daughter, sister, mother, and friend and will be missed dearly. The world lost a light but God gained an Angel. The Rosary will be 10 AM Thursday, August 16, 2012 in the Baum-Carlock-Bumgardner Chapel. Mass will be 10 AM Friday, August 17, 2012 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. Visitation is Thursday from 5-9 PM at the funeral home. Brenda was born in Midland, Texas on November 10, 1941 to O. B. and Wenona Abbott. She graduated from Decatur Baptist College then continued her education at the University of New Mexico where she obtained her Bachelor's Degree. She became an English Teacher. She taught in Albuquerque for 13 years until she became a polygraph examiner and co-owned a business with her husband. She retired from polygraph in 2000. She taught at CCA and substitute taught at Mineral Wells High School until complete retirement in 2005. Brenda married Larry Galbreth on October 5, 1968. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband: Larry Galbreth, step-son: Terrell Galbreth, and nephew: John Abbott. She is survived by her daughter: Chayley Galbreth, brother: Joe Abbott, nieces: Laura Abbott and Sunny Abbott, and great-nephews: John Paul and Benjamin Abbott Ross.
