Bobby Lee Williams "The Whistling Preacher", 80, passed away September 21, 2015 at his home in Mineral Wells. He was born May 3, 1935 in Cullman, Alabama the son of M. B. and Nora Smith Williams. He married Linda Lair on October 9, 1956 in West Plains, Missouri. He worked for General Motors in Flint, Michigan for 31 ½ years, starting in November of 1955 and retiring in February of 1987. He was a bi vocational Minister in Michigan and pastored 3 churches at different times in Mineral Wells. He served as Chaplain at Palo Pinto General Hospital, Palo Pinto Nursing Center, and Mineral Wells Nursing and Rehab for many years. He had a ministry of visiting the sick wherever they were. He served as a house parent at Boys Country of Houston for 4 years. His wishes were to have no services and no flowers. There is a register book at the funeral home if anyone wishes to sign it. He was a longtime resident of Mineral Wells and a retired Baptist Minister. He is survived by his wife: Linda Williams, Children and spouses: Bobby Williams, Phillip and Ronda Williams, Denise and Joe Diaz, 11 grandchildren, 11great-grandchildren, 3 sisters, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, 6 brothers, and 1 sister.
