It is with great sadness that the family of Bobby G. Crabtree, 75, of Mineral Wells, Texas, announces his passing on Sunday, July 1st, in Mineral Wells Nursing and Rehab Center.On Friday, July 6th, there will be a visitation at 10:00 AM with the service following at 11:00 AM at First Baptist Church of Mineral Wells. Pastor Nathan Buchanan will be officiating. Arrangements are by Baum-Carlock-Bumgardner Funeral Home.Bobby was born in Salinas, California, to Roy and Cleo Crabtree on February 5th, 1943. He married the love of his life Sherry Nail on December 30th, 1976, in Arlington, Texas. Bobby graduated from high school in Iowa Park, Texas, as a member of the Class of 1960. He attended both Baylor University and Midwestern University before receiving his BBA in Accounting from The University of Texas at Arlington. During the Vietnam conflict, he served 13 months in Korea with the Army. After arriving in Mineral Wells in 1977, he and Sherry were given the single adult ministry at First Baptist Church of Mineral Wells. Bobby's commitment to his community culminated in his service as a city councilman for 10 years from 1985-1995 and he served on the Board of Directors of the Mineral Wells Industrial Foundation. From 2010 to present, Bobby served as the managing partner for the accounting firm Crabtree, Crabtree & Lynn, LLP.Bobby is preceded in death by his parents and various aunts, uncles, and cousins.Bobby is survived by Sherry, his wife of 41 years; daughter, Dawn and James Halstead of Weatherford, TX; son, Robert and Luisa Nail of Midland, TX; daughter, Erin (Missy) and Travis Grigsby of Durango, CO; three grandsons, Joshua Grigsby of Arlington, TX, Boone Grigsby of Sylmar, CA, and Sean Nail of Midland, TX; sister, Rhonda and Danny Lynn of Mansfield, TX; niece, Lareasa and Timothy Philpot of Boerne, TX, and their sons, Austin and Aaron; nephew, Dustin and Whitney Lynn of Fort Worth, TX.Memorials may be given to First Baptist Church of Mineral Wells, Mineral Wells Nursing and Rehab Center, or Solaris Hospice Services of Mineral Wells.Bobby's family wishes to extend their sincerest thanks to Dr. Lakheram and Powan Singh, the nurses at the nursing and rehab center, and Solaris Hospice Services.
