Blanche Ladd loving mother, grandmother, and "nana", 79, passed away December 19, 2013 in a Mineral Wells hospital. She was born May 3, 1934 in Brad the daughter of Charles Anderson and Sarah Blanche Clepper Cozby. She married Darrell Ladd on October 5, 1951 in Mineral Wells. She was a longtime resident of Mineral Wells and lived in El Paso prior to that. She was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church and was in charge of the nursery for many years. She and her husband owned and operated Humpty Dumpty Playskool. She sang with the Silver Notes and had worked at First Steps Preschool at First Baptist Church for the past several years. Services will be 10 AM Monday, December 23, 2013 at Immanuel Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Brad Cemetery. Visitation is Sunday from 2-4 PM in the funeral home annex. She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law: Debbie Nowak of Mineral Wells, Kathy and Jackie Woodard of Louisiana, Glenda and James Manley of Oran, Becky and Victor Avalos of El Paso, grandchildren: Charity McGee and husband Cody, Amanda Davis, Casey and Joshua Woodard, Mitchell and Micah Manley, Victor Avalos, great-grandchildren: Kenzie, Pacie, Steven, Zane, Aiden, Sarah, aunt: Margaret Cozby of Arizona, niece: Patricia Hopkins and husband Joe of Midland, and nephews: David Hopkins of Midland, Donald and John Ray Cozby of Arizona. She was preceded in death by her husband on August 24, 2003, brothers: Charles and Cal Cozby, sister: Mary Frances Wilson, and granddaughter: Miranda Manley.
