Billy Whitmire

Billy Whitmire, age 58 of Possum Kingdom passed away May 30, 2011. He was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma, the son of William and Peggy Jerger Whitmire. Billy worked hard all his life and enjoyed earning an honest living that came with hard work. When he had free time he liked to keep friends and loved ones on their toes by telling jokes and playing pranks. He was an avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys and Nascar. He loved to listen to music and learn about history. He was often described by others as having a really big heart and a person that would do anything for anyone. He loved his family and friends very much and was loved immensely in return by all of them. He will be missed tremendously by all who knew him. Survivors are wife Karen Lightfoot Whitmire; sons, Dustin and Brandon Whitmire ; daughter Ashley Lightfoot; brothers Brad and Brent Whitmire; sisters Debi Whitmire and Becki Felts. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Brenda Rust. A memorial service will be provided by the family at the Baum Carlock Bumgardner Annex bldg. On Friday June 10, 2011 at 10 AM.
