Billie Ruth Turner - August 15. 1927 - January 10.2012.Billie was born August 15. 1927 in Minerva, Texas. She grew up in Galveston, Texas andworked in the shipyards during World War II and met her husband. J.W. Turner there. Theymarried September 11. 1945 and were together fifty-five years. They made their home in MineralWells, Texas in 1956 and lived there the rest of their lives. Billie had a special love of allcreatures and reveled in the joys of Nature.She was preceded in death by her husband. J.W. Turner: parents John and Nettie Burgess:brothers J.C. Burgess. Grant Burgess. and Jimmy Burgess: sisters Nora Anderson and BetteBurgess.She is survived by son. Johnny Turner: granddaughter. Jessica Turner: brother-in-law JimmyTurner and wife Hazel: nieces Carol Bryce and husband Keith. Tess Robinson and partner DanaNewman. Sandy Clark. Silvia Benedetti. Cathy Anderson. and Shelly Burgess: nephews BillMorgan. A.C. Morgan. and Mark Burgess and wife Sherry: great-nephew Joel Robinson andwife Tammy and many other great-nephews and great-nieces.Graveside services will be 2 PM Friday, January 13, 2012 at Staggs Prairie Cemetery with Bill Starr officiating. Visitation was Thursday from 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
