Bill Allen Flowers, 72, of Mineral Wells, passed on from this world at his home Wednesday morning, June 26, 2013, at 5:45am with two of his daughters by his side. Visitation will be 6-8pm Thursday evening at Baum-Carlock & Bumgardner Funeral Home. Funeral service Friday at 10am at Baum-Carlock followed by a 2pm burial in Gainesville, TX at Fairview Cemetery.Bill was born in Marietta, OK, April 3rd, 1941. He graduated from Mountain View Union High School in California in 1959. He then joined the United States Air Force where he was a Morse Interception Code Operator. Bill married the love of his life, Carolyn Stanley, January 3rd, 1964. After moving around quite a bit with his manager position at Duke & Ayers nickel and dime stores, they settled in Mineral Wells. In 1980, Bill started working for Keebler Cookie Company. Later in the 1990's he worked in several convenient stores in and around Mineral Wells where he met many people. Bill was a loving father, grandfather and friend. He had a heart of gold and would do anything for anyone. Bill was a unique character, loved by many and will truly be missed. Bill is preceded in death by his wife Carolyn Gay Flowers and one sister Julie Mae Flowers McCoy.Survivors include daughters Jennifer Lynn Flowers-Jones and husband Dustin of Mineral Wells, Priscilla Flowers of Abilene and Maybelle Tabo Tabo Corbo of Houston; Brothers Johnny Flowers of Dennison, Bennie Barfield of Fort Worth; Grandchildren Braden Towler, Shalea Keith and Ryan Keith and numerous friends.
