Bessie Ward

Bessie Lynn Ward passed away August 16, 2017 in a Weatherford, Texas health & rehab center. She has lived in Mineral Wells, Texas since 1964. She is the daughter of the late Fred Allen Nichols and Alline Alabama Clark Nichols of Lampasas, Texas. She was born in Copperas Cove, Texas and was 90 years of age. She was the co-owner/operator of the Ward Ambulance Service here in Mineral Wells in the 60s. She was married to the late Charles "Chuck" Ward in 1945 in Fort Polk, Louisiana and was married for almost 60 years. He was the eternal love of her life. Funeral services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Baum-Carlock-Bumgardner funeral home with visitation two hours prior to service. Burial will be on Monday August 21st 9 a.m. at DFW National Cemetery She is survived by a son, Charles "Rick" Ward and wife Teresa of Fort Worth, Texas; three daughters: Vickie Davidson of Adell, Texas, Donna Buschow and husband Kenneth of Mineral Wells, Texas, and Stephanie King and husband Joe of Azle, Texas. Grandchildren: Mysti Davidson of Springtown, Texas, Ashley Ward of Fort Worth, Texas, Nathan Buschow (Kelli) of Mineral Wells, Texas, Austin Ward (Dante) of Las Vegas, Nevada, Kristina Hadaway (Nole) of Abilene, Texas, Patrick King (Cassie) of Azle, Texas, Christopher Ryan King (Becca) of Springtown, Texas, Aaron King (Maegan) of Fort Drum, New York; eight Great Grandchildren: Kaitlyn, Abby, Aubrey, Ashlyn, Braxton, Kambree, Vivian, Blake, and Lucy. Also, special brother-in-law, Stanley "Pete" Ward (BJ) of Denison, Texas, sisters-in-law, Wanda Naudasher of Ohio, Thelma Ward, brother-in-law Charles McDaniel of Adell, Texas and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband Chuck, daughter, Brenda Ward, sister Patsy McDaniel, her parents, and a son-in-law Hal Davidson.
