Bertha West

Bertha Raye West, 83, passed away September 2, 2012 in a Rockwall hospital. She was born January 8, 1929 in Strawn the daughter of J. W. and Willie Augusta Brown Ratliff. She was a longtime resident of Palo Pinto County. She attended Faith Covenant Church. Services will be 10 AM Wednesday, September 5, 2012 in the Baum-Carlock-Bumgardner Chapel with Bob Gumbert officiating. Visitation is Tuesday from 6-8 PM at the funeral home. Burial will follow in New Hope Cemetery. She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law: Loyd and Brenda Newsome of Cumby, Gerry and Irene Gossett of Goldthwaite, and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband: Clifford West, 2 sons, 1 daughter, and 1 great-grandchild.
