Barry Blackburn

Barry A. Blackburn of Mineral Wells, Texas passed away Monday, September 4, 2017 in Mineral Wells, Texas. He was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma, the son of Robert L. Blackburn and Bettie J. Deming Blackburn. He graduated from Mineral Wells High School in 1964. He also graduated from UTA in 1968 with a Bachelor's degree in business. He worked for Jared's Jewelers where he was a certified diamondologist. He was also used in several instructional videos. He also owned his own Jewelry business There will be a graveside service Saturday, September 9, 2017 at 2p.m. at the McKnight Cemetery in Cushing, Texas. He will be lying in state at Baum Carlock Bumgardner Funeral Home Wednesday through Friday. He is survived by a son, Cash Blackburn and wife Monica from Pearland, Texas; Granddaughters: Camryn and Madelyn Blackburn of Pearland, Texas; Mother: Bettie Blackburn of Mineral Wells. Also survived by three brothers: Tim Blackburn from Plano, Texas, Tracy Blackburn and wife Patti of Spring, Texas, and Stacy Blackburn and wife Lori of Mineral Wells. He is survived by a number of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father and a brother, Bob Blackburn. Memorials may be sent to Calvary Baptist Church, Mineral Wells, in his memory.
