Arturo Rodriguez

Arturo Rodriguez passed into his Lord's arms on August 15, 2016. He was born in Mexico; the son of Jose Maria Rodriguez and Rafaela Gutierrez. He was married to his loving wife Elvira Rodriguez for 53 years and was a caring husband, father, and grandfather. He moved to Mineral Wells to raise his family and loved his grandkids most of all and was known as Gapaka. He was a jokester and loved to laugh and filled the air full of joy. Arturo enjoyed music, singing (especially to his wife), and to dance. Elvis was his favorite. He enjoyed staying fit by walking, cycling, lifting weights, and swimming. He also had a major sweet tooth. Faith was very important to him and his family. A rosary will be held on Wednesday, August 17, 2016 at Baum-Carlock-Bumgardner funeral home from 6-8pm. A mass will be held on Thursday, August 18, 2016 at Our Lady of Lourdes at 10am. He leaves behind his wife, Elvira Rodriguez; children, Maria Salas and husband Pedro Perez, Arturo Rodriguez Jr., Laura Ramirez and husband David, Norma Prado and husband Alfredo, and Lourdes Rodriguez; grandchildren, Ramiro, Jose, Santos, Alisa, Sara, Salena, Adrian, and Darrius; 6 great-grandchildren; brothers, Felix Rodriguez and Antonio Rodriguez; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Manuel Rodriguez; and sister, Luz Pinon. The family of Arturo Rodriguez wishes to extend their sincere thanks to Fort Worth Medical Plaza, hospice organization, and members of Our Lady of Lourdes.
