Arthur Lee White

Arthur Lee White of Graford, TX, passed away on May 25, 2020 at his home.

Rosary and viewing will be held at 6:30 PM, May 29, 2020 at Baum-Carlock-Bumgardner, 302 West Hubbard St., Mineral Wells, TX 76076.

Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 AM, Church Hall, St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 14965 N. State Highway 16, Graford, TX 76449, with Father Thomas officiating. Reception, also in Church Hall, will follow at the same location.

Lee was born at St. Paul’s Hospital, Dallas, TX to William Howell White and Elsie Jean White on December 29, 1937. He attended Hillcrest High School, Dallas, TX. He earned a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree from Amber University. He served and retired from the United States Navy Reserve as Chief Petty Officer of the Command Navy on December 29, 1997.

He married his wife Ruth Frances Thorogood, of 60 years on August 21, 1959 in Mineral Wells, TX. He worked as Mechanical Draftsman and Quality Engineer for Texas Instruments for over 25 years. In his retirement, he was actively involved with St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, the Gaines Bend Property Owner’s Association as Treasurer for a time.

Lee is preceded in death by his brother, Richard Gary White.

Lee is survived by his wife Ruth: his children, Michael William White and his wife Marie of Garland, TX, Lisa and her husband Jason Davis of Azle, TX, his brother Kent White, of Georgetown, TX: his grandson, Brandt, and great grandchildren, Jason and Brayden; and his in-laws Bill and his wife Pat Thorogood of Garland, TX, Bobbie Martin of Graford, TX, and Linda Runyon of Pittsburgh, KS.
