Arthur Lasater Schulte, 86, of Mineral Wells, passed away Tuesday, July 14, 2009 in Fort Worth. Funeral services will be 1:30 PM Saturday at the Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. Rosary will be 6 PM Friday at the Baum-Carlock-Bumgardner Chapel. Fr. Jeff Poirot will officiate and burial will be in the Memory Gardens Cemetery.Mr. Schulte was born November 6, 1922 in Mineral Wells, the son of August Arthur and Etheleen Alderson Schulte and lived in Mineral Wells most of his life. He was a veteran of World War II serving in the Army Air Corps and a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. He was retired from the Mineral Wells ISD from the maintenance department, was a member of the Mineral Wells Volunteer Fire Department and a 50 year member of Mineral Wells Masonic Lodge #611. He was also a heating and air conditioning serviceman. He married Eulalia Davis who preceded him in death in 1944 and Geneva Slaton who preceded him in death in 2001.He was survived by sons and daughters-in-law, James Schulte of Possom Kingdom, Larry and Mildred Schulte of Mineral Wells, Ricky and Rebecca Schulte of Granbury and John Schulte of Okala, FL; daughter and son-in-law Linda and Gunnar Skarbrevik of Rowlett; 13 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Martha Larance of Mineral Wells and Dede Roe of Boerne, TX; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a grandson.
