Sister Annie Mae Johnson Blade was born March 17, 1948 to the union of Mose and Octavia Johnson in Alexandria, Louisiana. She departed this life on Thursday, February 21, 2013 at 9:03pm at Harris Methodist Hospital in Fort Worth, Texas. Sister Blade, affectionately called Annie Mae received her education and religious training as St. James Catholic Church in Alexandria. She united in Holy Matrimony to Clarence Earl Blade Sr. in July 1974, to this union 4 lovely children. She was a devoted wife and mother. Sister Blade was a long-time employee of Mepco Central Lab in Mineral Wells until the closure. She later was employed with Acme Brick in Millsap where she served faithfully until her retirement in 2002. Sister Blade had a love for bowling, bingo, and the casino. She was a member of Mt. Olive CME Church, and served as the church secretary. She was a member of the Mineral Wells Bowling League. She was a long-time member of Woodmen of the World, and had served as secretary. She enjoyed traveling with her devoted companion Clarence Eugene Sadler. Sister Annie Mae leaves to mourn her passing her son: Michael Johnson of Mineral Wells, son: Darrell Johnson of Ft. Worth and wife Carmen of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, daughter: Octavia Johnson Onyekwere of Crowley, son: Terrence Blade and wife Monique of Crowley, a host of grandchildren: DeAndre, Nathan, Amar, Cassidy, Bailey, Kierra, Ernest, Patrick, Darrien, Brandon, and Aaliuah, her siblings: Robert Johnson of Fort Worth, Nettie Baines of Alexandria, Louisiana, Cindy Johnson and husband Lester of Mineral Wells, Delphine Houston and husband Billy of Alexandria, Louisiana, Johnny Johnson and wife Vanessa of Alexandria, Louisiana, and Richard Johnson and wife Jean of Alexandria, Louisiana and her longtime companion Clarence Eugene Sadler of Ft. Worth. Preceded sister Blade in death are her father: Mose Johnson Sr., mother: Octavia Johnson, husband: Clarence Blade, sister: Virginia Hayward, brother: Mose Johnson Jr., and sister: Lula Gaines.
